Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a technique that involves injecting small quantities of vitamins, antioxidants, amino acids or non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid (very fluid) directly into the middle layer of the skin: the dermis.

Presentation

Who is mesotherapy for?

Mesotherapy is for anyone who wants to improve the quality of their skin and regain a fresher appearance. The products injected help to reduce fine lines and give the skin a radiant, healthy glow. Each mesotherapy session is tailored by Dr Olivier CLAUDE to each patient’s individual needs. This is a treatment that can be started as early as the age of 20, using appropriate protocols.

Procedure

Before the mesotherapy session, a consultation is held with Dr Olivier CLAUDE to define your objectives and determine the specific treatment suited to your needs. To minimise any discomfort from the injections, we apply an anaesthetic cream for 20 to 30 minutes. Dr Olivier CLAUDE uses a syringe with very fine needles to deposit the active ingredients of mesotherapy in the dermis of the skin. The injections are generally shallow and localised to a targeted treatment area. Sometimes, small bumps resembling tiny mosquito bites may appear in the area for up to a few hours. After the injections, Dr Olivier Claude generally recommends a session of LED light therapy to reduce redness and soothe the skin. For greater synergy, it is often advisable to combine mesotherapy with “Dermapen” microneedling and growth factors.

How long does a mesotherapy session last?

The mesotherapy session itself lasts approximately 30 to 40 minutes. This session can be carried out on the same day as your botox or hyaluronic acid injections.

What are the post-treatment recommendations?

Dr Olivier CLAUDE advises you to protect your skin from the sun for 8 days following your mesotherapy treatment. You should also avoid sport, saunas and steam rooms for 24 hours after the treatment.

Results

The active ingredients in mesotherapy help to revitalise, hydrate and restore skin tissue. The result therefore achieves a fresher, more toned skin. Mesotherapy also helps to reduce wrinkles and fine lines, and delay their appearance. Improving the appearance of the skin is a very important part of an overall approach to the face.

This physical improvement generally leads to a psychological improvement. In the long term, a face and neck lift makes it possible to combat the ravages of time, but ageing continues to take its toll and a new facelift procedure may be considered about ten years down the road. Post-operative recovery is generally straightforward after a properly performed cervico-facial lift, and actual complications are rare. By choosing a surgeon qualified as a Specialist in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery by the French Medical Council and graduate of a DESC (Diploma of Advanced Specialised Studies) in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, you limit these risks as much as possible.
