Collagen inducer

Harmonyca is a new-generation injectable that combines hyaluronic acid with calcium hydroxyapatite.

Presentation

This unique synergy of two absorbable products provides a remarkable lifting and tightening effect, while improving skin texture. By revitalising the face, Harmonyca simultaneously restores freshness and tone to the skin by stimulating collagen and elastin synthesis for long-lasting results.

What are the characteristics of Harmonyca?

The hyaluronic acid contained in Harmonyca plays an essential role in restoring facial support, providing instant support and a lifting effect. Calcium hydroxyapatite acts as a biostimulator for fibroblasts, encouraging the production of type 1 collagen and helping to improve skin quality while restoring tone.

Harmonyca is injected by cannula, with a certain technical specificity. Plastic surgeon Dr Olivier CLAUDE adapts this technique to each patient’s needs. He draws on his experience of surgical lipofilling, which also combines treatment of facial support and skin quality.

Procedure

What should I do before a Harmonyca session?

Aspirin and anti-inflammatory drugs are not recommended 8 days before your session in order to limit the risk of significant haematomas (bruising).

Right before surgery, an anaesthetic cream is applied to the areas to be treated. This reduces the sensation of discomfort on the surface. Harmonyca also contains Lidocaine, a highly effective anaesthetic.

Contraindications

What are the contraindications?

During the first consultation, you should indicate whether you have already received injections of non-absorbable fillers; this is a contraindication for a new injection in the area concerned.

The body’s response to Harmonyca injections may be reduced in smokers or patients undergoing long-term anti-inflammatory treatment. Pregnancy and breast-feeding are temporary contraindications to Harmonyca injections.

What should I do after a Harmonyca session?

Make-up should not be applied to the injected areas for 6 hours afterwards.
You should also avoid exposure to the sun and UV lamps for 24 to 48 hours following the treatment in order to reduce redness, swelling and irritation. The affected areas should be massaged for one minute in the morning and one minute in the evening for one week. Specific recommendations will be given to you right after surgery.

Results

After the injection session, patients usually notice an immediate lifting and rejuvenating effect that gives the face a fresher look. The benefits benefits gradually increase over the following 2 to 3 months thanks to the action of calcium hydroxyapatite; which helps to improve skin texture by inducing collagen and stimulating fibroblasts..

Are there any side effects?

Following the injection of Harmonyca, it is possible to experience slight erythema/blueness, oedema/swelling or sensitivity in the treated area. These reactions generally wane 24 to 48 hours after the session. Dr Olivier CLAUDE will prescribe a suitable anti-oedema and anti-bruising treatment to ease the injections’ after-effects.
