Neck and cleavage

Presentation

Women very often turn to aesthetic medicine to rejuvenate their faces. The hands, cleavage and neck remain overlooked. And yet these areas can betray age just as much as an ageing face.

Doctor CLAUDE Olivier uses slightly cross-linked hyaluronic acids to hydrate and “smooth” the neck, cleavage and hands in order to correct the traces of time. The earlier injections are started at the first signs of ageing, the more effective and long-lasting they will be in these fragile areas.

Other solutions such as pulsed light, radiofrequency and ultrasound can be effective in these areas, but hyaluronic acid injections remain the treatment of first choice for Dr CLAUDE Olivier.

Procedure

How does a neck and cleavage rejuvenation session work?

Dr Olivier CLAUDE will begin with a personalised consultation in his practice in Paris 16th Arr.

He will assess the quality of your skin, look for any contraindications to hyaluronic acid injections and suggest various solutions for rejuvenating and beautifying your neck and cleavage.

Neck and cleavage – the different types of hyaluronic acid

  •  Classic cross-linked hyaluronic acids, which can fill in wrinkles, stretch the skin and rehydrate it
  •  Skinsboosters, which are hyaluronic acids that are less filling but more moisturising, which restore radiance and tone to your skin; this is the equivalent of a tube of cream placed deep inside your skin and which releases its moisturising agents over time.

In this area, which is particularly fine and delicate, Dr Olivier CLAUDE may sometimes use cannulas or very fine needles.

The injections are not very painful, but for all sensitive and fearful patients, an anaesthetic cream is suggested and should be applied about 30 minutes before the procedure.

A hyaluronic acid injection session lasts between 20 and 30 minutes and can be combined with the treatment of other areas of the face, such as the oval of the face.

Results

How long does hyaluronic acid last in the neck and cleavage?

On average, hyaluronic acid injected into the neck and cleavage lasts for 1 year.
However, the patient’s lifestyle and habits play a very important role in how long the treatment lasts.

Repeated sun protection, taking antioxidants orally or applied topically, and not smoking all help to prolong the life of hyaluronic acid.

Contraindications

These are rare and should be looked for during your 1st consultation:

  •  Allergies (rare)
  •  Severe auto-immune diseases.
  •  Infections at the injection site.

The side-effects of hyaluronic acid injections in the neck and cleavage are minor. They mainly involve bruising and oedema.

Cost of treatment

It is often necessary to use at least 2 syringes of hyaluronic acid or skin boosters for this area (the neck or cleavage). Dr Olivier CLAUDE will examine your face and recommend the treatment best suited to your skin. You will be given an estimate and an informed consent form before any aesthetic medical procedure is carried out by Dr Olivier CLAUDE. Face and profile photos will always be taken before any aesthetic procedure. The sessions take place in the medical practice of Dr Olivier CLAUDE, Plastic Surgeon, at 124 Rue de la Faisanderie – Paris 16th
