Bodytite – Radiofrequency
This is a new technology called RFAL (Radio-Frequency Assisted Liposuction), certified by the FDA (USA), which represents a safe, gentle and precise solution for body contouring.
Bodytite provides a “minimally invasive” treatment that delivers results previously only achievable through surgical procedures (and therefore, with scarring). This technology uses bipolar radiofrequency energy, which is transformed into heat to retract sagging skin and eliminate fat. Bodytite thus makes it possible to sculpt the body by increasing skin tone, with smoother, redefined contours (high-definition liposuction).
Presentation
Who can benefit from Bodytite?
Bodytite is a completely new solution for patients who want to significantly reduce sagging skin and avoid scarring. Recovery time is also rapid. Bodytite combined with liposuction provides a more comfortable after-effect than liposuction alone. Bipolar radiofrequency is used at the start of the procedure to prepare the fat, which is then gently suctioned away once it has been liquefied by the Bodytite.
The Bodytite is primarily intended for patients with moderate sagging.
Bodytite technology:
The Bodytite continuously monitors and regulates temperature, thus avoiding the risk of burns.
The Bodytite’s real-time thermal control is twofold: deep in the fatty areas and on the surface of the skin. This means that sagging skin can be treated as effectively as possible, while maintaining maximum safety.
What areas can be treated with Bodytite?
Bodytite can be used on virtually all areas of the body, with the exception of the face and neck, which are treated with the same technology but adapted to smaller, more delicate areas: Facetite.
The areas most often treated with Bodytite are:
- Abdomen
- Waist, hips and back
- Thighs: inner side and saddlebags
- Arms
Procedure
How does the Bodytite treatment work?
Bodytite is a fine cannula coupled to two probes. One of the probes is associated with the cannula. It is inserted under the skin through a small incision (about 2 mm) and is used to deliver the radiofrequency energy. The second probe slides along the skin surface and receives the energy emitted by the internal probe. This is the very principle of bipolar radiofrequency, which sends energy between two probes. The internal probe heats the tissue to a temperature of between 58° and 65°C. The energy becomes progressively gentler as it is transmitted to the surface of the skin, where the temperature developed by the Bodytite drops to between 36° and 40°. The parameters are personalised for each patient and each area.
The Bodytite cannula is moved over the entire area to be treated, releasing energy between the two probes. The heat generated liquefies the fat cells, causing the skin to shrink and stimulating collagen production.
Results
What happens after a Bodytite treatment?
Bruises generally disappear between the 10th and 20th day.
Swelling is usually moderate. Their resorption will be accelerated by wearing a support garment for 4 weeks.
The recommended time off work varies according to the number of areas treated. Usually 3 to 8 days are sufficient. Sports activities can be resumed gradually after about 2 to 3 weeks.
When do the results of the Bodytite treatment appear?
Results appear gradually over the first year. After one month, the most significant oedemas are reabsorbed. After three months, the figure begins to look more defined. The synthesis of collagen triggered by Bodytite is a gradual process that will produce results over the long term.
Bodytite therefore treats sagging skin, usually in conjunction with high-definition liposuction – which focuses on fat. The synergy of the two technologies provides optimal figure enhancement without the infamous surgical scars.
